David Price, chairman of the House Democratic Partnership Committee and chairman of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Foreign Relations, said that they will not be able to visit other regions of Armenia within the framework of this visit. His remarks came at a joint press conference with Eduard Aghajanian on Tuesday, responding to a question NEWS.am correspondent whether the American delegation will visit communities affected by the Azerbaijani September aggression.
The U.S. President bypassed Resolution 907 and provided military aid to Azerbaijan, even as Baku continues to violate the ceasefire and carry out aggression against Armenia. Asked if the U.S. was thereby contributing to Azerbaijani aggression, Price replied that he doesn't think, the statement is entirely accurate. They have balanced their assistance and support to Azerbaijan by making sure that they do, and they also make sure that that assistance is never used for offensive purposes against Armenia and is never used in any way to undermine the peace process in the Karabakh conflict. This is a guarantee, and Armenia has that guarantee.
