YEREVAN. – Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia on Friday received a delegation from the France-Armenia friendship group of the French Parliament, and headed by Anne-Laurence Petel, the Prime Minister's Office informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The Prime Minister emphasized with satisfaction that in recent years the relations between Armenia and France have gained new dynamics, which is also the result of frequent mutual visits at different levels.

"During this time, we have repeatedly ascertained that France is a friendly country for us and is always by Armenia's side in difficult situations," Pashinyan noted, adding that the Armenian government is interested in the consistent development of bilateral cooperation in all domains.

Petel thanked for the warm welcome and as a representative of the ruling party, added that France is ready to continue its assistance to Armenia for overcoming challenges.

At the meeting, the interlocutors discussed the processes taking place in the South Caucasus, the steps to eliminate the consequences of Azerbaijan's military aggression, and the activities of the EU mission that is already in Armenia. The Prime Minister emphasized the important role of France as an OSCE Minsk Group Co-chair country.

The sides exchanged thoughts on further steps towards increasing the economic ties and trade between Armenia and France. A number of issues related to the expansion of cooperation in infrastructure, telecommunication, energy, air transport, investment, agriculture, health care, science and education were discussed.
