Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said Belarus and he as president will support a coordinated decision of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia. His remarks came during the extraordinary session of the CSTO Collective Security Council when asked by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan about the issues related to the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
"If you reach a consensus, I will support that consensus without looking," the Belarusian leader assured.
He also expressed his personal position regarding the ongoing conflict: "Excuse me, if maybe I don't see so from many kilometers away from this theater of war, but this is my impression of what is forming there on these borders. I've already said in a friendly way: guys, what are you fighting for? What are you fighting for in these mountains at two thousand meters high? Three hundred people were killed. Three hundred people died where people do not live! Where even these goats don't walk! Why are you fighting? Sit down and come to an agreement! And let Russia sanctify this treaty."
"But you don't want to. Some kind of game is going on here, you know. This game cannot take place. Because it's a matter of war and peace!" summed up the head of the Belarusian state.
