YEREVAN. – In September, PM Nikol Pashinyan made several statements that there was no document on the negotiating table; but in the last statements he said that he agreed to the document from the Russian side back at the beginning of September. Armenian opposition MP Ishkhan Saghatelyan told this to a press conference Monday—and with respect to the prospects for Armenia signing a peace treaty with Azerbaijan.

"It turned out that there is an American version dated September 7; that is, let's record once again that [Pashinyan] has lied. (...). When he says, ‘I am in favor of the Russian proposals,’ it has no value unless he clearly announced that he rejects the other option, which curtails Artsakh's [(Nagorno-Karabakh)] right to self-determination and the Artsakh issue in general. Unless he makes that announcement, the rest is a word game, attempts to conduct some policy with provincial agility and maneuver with the international community," Saghatelyan said.
