The Russian side has repeatedly expressed a clear position that the principle of unblocking of communications is respect for sovereignty. The Russian ambassador to Armenia told this to reporters Tuesday, answering Armenian News-NEWS.am's question.

"This position was also expressed by the deputy prime minister of Russia, the head—from the Russian side—of the respective tripartite working group, [Alexei] Overchuk," Sergey Kopirkin reminded.

To note, Azerbaijan constantly states that Armenia must provide it with an extraterritorial corridor through Syunik Province of Armenia.
