The ambassador of Russia to Armenia says the Armenians constitute a significant and quite influential part of Russian society, and it is very difficult for them to break those ties, to separate themselves from each other, so they are not used to PR and play any games around all that. Sergey Kopirkin noted about this during a meeting Monday with the students and faculty of Valery Brusov State University in Yerevan.

He explained that this does not correspond to the Russian mentality.

"It probably doesn't always serve the cause. At the same time, we pay a lot of attention to informing about Russia's efforts in our bilateral relations," the ambassador said.

According to Kopirkin, Russia emphasizes not the PR aspect but real content. "Our traditional approach comes down to what we do. This is a characteristic feature of our relations in general. What Russia does in Armenia, for Armenia, together with Armenia, is of great strategic importance for Armenia, the Armenian state. I think there is no need to look for examples. We traditionally have not considered such activities as an element of public relations. For us Armenia, the Armenian people are our brothers, with whom we have many ties," he stressed.
