Any meeting and negotiation of Armenia’s authorities on the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) issue cannot now be at the same level as it was before. Seyran Ohanyan, leader of the opposition "Armenia" Faction in parliament and former defense minister of Armenia, told reporters about this within the framework of the discussion on "Real Agenda of Armenia" Wednesday.

According to him, in the ongoing negotiations it is necessary to choose the most beneficial for the fate and self-determination of the people of Artsakh.

"That format is the Armenia-Russia-Azerbaijan triangle where the negotiations are going on. We also have Russian peacekeeping forces in Artsakh, but we must not forget that, for years, the first guarantor of guaranteeing the security of Artsakh has been the Artsakh Defense Army and the Republic of Armenia.

Also, we should note that the Artsakh Defense Army was created together with the aggression of Azerbaijan—within the framework of the exercise of the right of self-defense and was created exclusively in the territory, using the self-defense squads of Artsakh and the potential of Artsakh. In that regard, we should not forget the cooperation with the Artsakh army and the peacekeeping forces of Russia. That hope exists in the document presented by Russia," said Ohanyan.
