Russia should answer the question whether its of the peaceful settlement between Armenia and Azerbaijan is still circulating, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told Public TV of Armenia.

"We said it is acceptable to us. We asked and got an answer, but I think that since the topic became public after Russia's speech at the Valdai Club, I will readdress the question to Russia, let Russia answer publicly," he said.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting of the Valdai Club that Russia supports the peaceful settlement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, but is not going to impose anything on Armenia to dictate something, the choice is up to the Armenian people and leadership of the country: "If the Armenian people, the leadership believes that Karabakh has its own characteristics and these features should be considered, and to discuss in a future peace treaty, this is also possible. But of course we need to reach an agreement with Azerbaijan, and the agreements should be acceptable for the other side, too.

Putin said that Armenia is Russia's strategic partner and ally, and Moscow will be guided by what Armenia itself offers, bearing in mind Azerbaijan's interests.
