Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with President of the European Council Charles Michel on the sidelines of the 18th summit of the International Organization of Francophonie (OIF) in the Tunisian city of Djerba.

During the meeting, they touched upon the results of a quadrilateral meeting that was held in Prague in October with Armenia's Prime Minister and the President of the European Council, as well as the Presidents of France and Azerbaijan, the press service of the Armenian government informed NEWS.am. The parties attached importance to the implementation of agreements reached by the Prague Statement and steps aimed at strengthening peace and stability in the region.

Pashinyan mentioned the necessity to eliminate the consequences of the Azerbaijani aggression and the immediate withdrawal of Azerbaijani units from the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia.

The interlocutors also exchanged views on the development of the Armenia-EU cooperation.
