Armenia has a small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) strategy that consists of many programs that are being brought to fruition sequentially. Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan told this to Armenian News-NEWS.am Wednesday during the celebration of the 15th anniversary of the Investment Council of Armenia of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

"I can mention the 15th Covid measure, which, in fact, is not so related to Covid, many starting entrepreneurs [in Armenia] were able to get the necessary funding, receive training, etc.," Kerobyan added.

"Now other tools of the SME strategy are coming into force. Our target is to double the role of SMEs in our economy by 2026; that is, increase it from 27 to 55 percent. The work in that direction does not stop. I can say that this economic growth proves that the role of SMEs is increasing [in Armenia]," said the economy minist
