The details of unblocking regional communications, which Azerbaijan and Turkey talk about on a regular basis, are worrying. Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan of Armenia told reporters about this on Monday.

He added that Armenia has expressed its position in this regard, and Iran's position is also known.

According to Kostanyan, the tension on Armenia’s border with Azerbaijan, the latter’s shooting in the direction of the sovereign territory of Armenia, and the aggravation of the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh definitely do not contribute to the establishment of peace and stability in the South Caucasus.

He noted that these actions of Azerbaijan call into question its statement that it is truly interested in establishing peace and stability.

Turkey and Azerbaijan want to achieve the opening of a corridor through the territory of Armenia, which will be beyond the control of Armenia. Iran and Armenia are against such an approach.
