There will be a legislative change, tightening, the fine will become imprisonment, and the duration of imprisonment will increase. President Arayik Harutyunyan announced this in the National Assembly of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Monday, referring to the cases of espionage and treason, the number of which has increased inn Artsakh.

When asked by an MP whether it is time to impose the death penalty in such cases in Artsakh, Harutyunyan responded with a smile and said: "Since the capacity of our prisons are limited, we have to think of some mechanism."

Then he continued on a serious note and said: "I don't think that it's right; we have to think of something else. To be honest, those people are misguided people. In fact, their move is treacherous, but they are misguided people, misguided, deceived, brainwashed. A person gives an analysis of the situation in Karabakh for money, not understanding that nothing is free in the world. As if under the name of a Frenchman who is interested in the internal politics of Karabakh, which politician has what kind of thing, or what the people are dissatisfied with. The French does not need that analysis; he knows that he is not French, and if he goes for it, it's clear what the goal is."

"They pay more attention to extract information from our daily life, to understand where we have problems in order to deepen those problems, rather than to know where such and such a military unit is located, as they have no problem finding that military unit, they look from above. Their task is to get to know our internal political problems and divide us," the Artsakh President added.
