The situation in Artsakh is dire, and every next day will be even harder and more difficult. Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Minister of State Gurgen Nersisyan stated this at Friday’s nationwide movement rally at Renaissance Square of capital Stepanakert.

"Today there are already many health problems [in Artsakh], many communities are successively deprived of the opportunity to have drinking water, residents of rural communities far from the capital have become ‘captives’ [of Azerbaijan], and the only contact with many is a phone call," he said.

According to the minister of state, the inhabitants of the villages of the Shushi region of Artsakh have become “hostages” of Azerbaijan—and in all extreme manifestations

As per Nersisyan, they hoped that the international community, Russia, and Armenia would take decisive steps to stop the course of this deadly disaster.

"But it turned out that everyone is just watching everything as an observer," he added.

"Now I want to ask a question to the international community, Armenia, and Russia: What do you need? What are you waiting for? Do you want us to have corpses of people at this square every day for you to respond? Do you want repetitions of the death incident of the two young children a few days ago to come to your senses? I'm telling you, it's enough!" Nersisyan stated.

He reflected also on the Armenia-Azerbaijan negotiation process, noting: "For three years, we have been closely following the results of the meetings being organized in this or that part of the world, how they snatch this or that discussion platform away from each other, fight for initiatives, fight for mediation efforts. We follow, but we neither see the result nor feel the effect. And when disagreements arise in those meetings, and it is necessary to put pressure on someone, then the full blow of the hammer falls on the head of the people of Artsakh."

"I want to shout on behalf of all of you: it's enough! It's enough to make the people of Artsakh a small coin for building your relations and settling conflicts! It is enough to conduct the West-Russia conflict at the expense of our people's lives!" said Gurgen Nersisyan.

The Nationwide Movement has started in Artsakh Friday morning.

Thousands of Artsakh residents have assembled at Renaissance Square of capital Stepanakert. Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan also participates in the rally.

Artsakh Minister of State Gurgen Nersisyan on Thursday announced the start of this movement.

Later, former Minister of State Ruben Vardanyan issued a video message and announced that he was joining the movement.

The objective of this movement is to achieve the unblocking of the Lachin corridor, which Azerbaijan has blocked.
