For the sixth day already, 360 tons of humanitarian aid sent from Armenia to Nagorno-Karabakh has been in the border zone of Kornidzor. The Armenian side is waiting for the transfer of goods to the Russian peacekeeping troops, and they, in turn, must deliver them to Nagorno-Karabakh. But at this point there is no response, Lurer reports.

As Vardan Sargsyan, representative of the working group under the Armenian Government on managing the humanitarian crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh, said that there is no response from the Russian peacekeepers either. Despite the calls of various states, the wide international reaction, statements by political and public figures, as well as the relevant decisions taken by the International Court of Justice, Azerbaijan actually continues to illegally keep the [Berdzor] Lachin Corridor closed and impede the transportation of goods.

“There is a growing interest from international news agencies in the current situation. In particular, yesterday a journalist from Agence France-Presse was here, who had the opportunity to testify to what is happening on the spot, and the corresponding publication has already been distributed by the agency,” Sargsyan said.

He noted that other representatives of the international press are also interested in the situation. In particular, media representatives from the US, Russia, China, and Argentina also visited the border region of Kornidzor.

“Naturally, we are open and try to present the humanitarian nature of this event as much as possible. We are confident that the relevant media, being here, will be convinced of this and there will be relevant publications,” Sargsyan concluded.
