The trade between Armenia and Russia during the first seven months of 2023 amounted to $3.7 billion, which is 70% higher than the indicator for the same period of 2022, Armenian Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan announced.

"During the first seven months, the trade is $3.7 billion, $2 billion are exports from Armenia, $1.7 billion are exports from Russia; this is 70% more than last year, and last year we had twice as much trade compared to 2021," said Kerobyan.

According to him, this increase in trade between Armenia and Russia is expected to continue because the transit capacity of the Upper Lars checkpoint on the Russia-Georgia border, through which the commercial route passes in transit, was considerably expanded in mid-June.
