This is public rhetoric, very close to, you know, something akin to crudeness; it just doesn't adorn Armenia’s politicians. Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian foreign ministry, stated this at Tuesday’s press briefing. She noted this commenting on the statement by the speaker of the Armenian parliament, Alen Simonyan, who had said that Zakharova's assurances that Armenia has recognized the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan are nonsense. Also, Simonyan had stated that according to the agreements of November 9, 2020, the Lachin corridor should be under the jurisdiction of Russian peacekeepers.

"And did he somehow mention my words about the recognition of Nagorno-Karabakh by Armenia? If they want to speak at an expert level, at a good political level, then there are all opportunities for that. We have excellent channels of communication with Yerevan in all directions, from state to public. And yet, it should, it seems to me... I understand that everyone's roles are separated there: who announces what and who says how. But even so, I am convinced that this does not give the right to the people who represent the Armenian society to use such expressions, and we seen and hear them a lot lately," said Zakharova.
