The Armenian side received the new proposals of the Azerbaijani side Tuesday. Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan announced this during Wednesday’s National Assembly-government question-and-answer session.

"There is a process and a discussion. During this period, of course, there were no face-to-face talks after June. There are important issues where the parties' positions are still quite far from each other," Mirzoyan noted.

Majority faction MP Sona Ghazaryan’s question as to whether a new meeting at the level of the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan was expected, and whether a five-way meeting will take place Granada, Mirzoyan responded as follows: "There is almost always a proposal of meetings and talks primarily with already existing platforms. I cannot deny that there are such predetermined or preliminary agreements as well. After the last meeting in Brussels with the participation of the [Armenian] prime minister, it was announced as well that another meeting with the participation of the leaders is planned, also the same within the framework of the European political community, this time in Granada, as you mentioned, in October. There was a preliminary agreement on the continuity of meetings and talks at the [foreign] ministerial level. At the moment, there is no agreement on any specific meeting; there are preliminary agreements and discussions."
