YEREVAN. - In the Thursday evening ruling Armenian Republican Party’s (RPA) executive body’s session, where President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan also participated, took place.

After the meeting the press secretary of the Republican Party of Armenia, MP Eduard Sharmazanov informed that no one’s resignation was discussed during the session. According to him, inter-party issues were discussed mainly forming campaign headquarters for the coming parliamentary elections.

Talking about the incident between Syunik region’s governor and businesswoman Silva Hambardzumyan the press secretary informed that RPA will discuss that issue after the completion of legal procedures.

The press secretary informed that the candidacy of the newer speaker of parliament has not been discussed.

“As Hovik Abrahamyan still holds the position of parliament speaker we thought it would be incorrect to discuss that subject,” he said.

Armenia’s PM Tigran Sargsyan and speaker of the parliament Hovik Abrahamyan also participated in the meeting.
