Currently, there are no such risks, threats that Azerbaijan could attack; the situation is assessed to be relatively stable at the borders. First Deputy Minister of Defense of Armenia and Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, Edward Asryan stated this while speaking with reporters at the National Assembly Monday

"As of now, there is no risk of military escalation," Asryan added.

And to the remark that Armenia's political leadership is stating that there may be a military escalation by Azerbaijan after it hosts the COP29 climate conference next month, the chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces responded as follows: "What do you mean by saying 'after?’ ‘After COP29’ could be one month, two months, six to seven months [later]. Within a reasonable period of time, as of now the General Staff [of the Armenian Armed Forces] does not assess a situation that could be war. [Armenian FM] Ararat Mirzoyan assesses on the basis of the politico-military the situation, which does not consider one to two months, but considers a reasonable period, which can exceed six months, a year."
