A meeting with the Azerbaijani side on the issue of captives and missing persons is expected in the near future. Armen Abazyan, Director of the National Security Service (NSS) of Armenia, informed about this to reporters at the National Assembly (NA) Monday.

"It is very possible that such a meeting will be organized in the near future. I won't say numbers, but it is very possible that a meeting with the composition of the [respective] commissions [of Armenia and Azerbaijan] will take place in the near future," Abazyan said.

But according to the director of the Armenian NSS, there is no decision yet regarding the date and venue of this meeting.

According to official data, 23 Armenians are currently in captivity in Azerbaijan, and eight of them are members of the former military an political leadership of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh). On the list of confirmed Armenian captives, however, there are no names of missing servicepersons or civilians.
