Chief of staff of the Armenian prime minister's office, Arayik Harutyunyan, does not open brackets as to whether Armenia will participate in the COP29 climate conference to be held in Azerbaijani capital Baku next month.

"There is an invitation, but at the moment I cannot say anything more than that," Harutyunyan said at a briefing with reporters at the National Assembly of Armenia Wednesday.

When asked if the return of Armenian captives is a precondition for Armenia’s attendance to the aforesaid event, Harutyunyan responded that he does not want to talk about preconditions because, according to him, when preconditions are posited in any negotiations, this does not lead to a very good place.
