The existence of the border delimitation regulation is a great victory for both Armenia and Azerbaijan. Speaker of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, stated this while speaking with reporters at the NA Monday.

"This is the first document between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and its implementation is one of the most important cornerstones of independence and territorial integrity for both countries, and we will move forward," added Simonyan.

To a reporter’s question about where the border delimitation will continue next, Alen Simonyan responded: "Everything is possible. There are various arguments, foundations, questions that can be the basis of how to proceed. (...). The reconstruction of our border is the most important task of our history. And if we fulfill it, we should all be satisfied and grateful."

And speaking about the progress of negotiations with Azerbaijan, the NA speaker said: "We have left many unresolved bilateral issues, and in case of political will, all these issues can be resolved; I believe the ongoing discussions are aimed at that. As for the constitution [of Armenia], we have said that it is a resolved issue for us, and the decision of the Constitutional Court [of Armenia] before signing this document showed that there is no such issue in Armenia. Now we are negotiating. There is a problem in their [i.e. Azerbaijan] constitution also, but we do not raise that problem."
