US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said at the signing ceremony of the Charter on Strategic Partnership between Armenia and the United States, adding that cooperation under the Eagle Partner format will also continue.
“We have done tremendous work in a short period of time under the auspices of an excellent partnership. Thus, we can record an important cornerstone achievement in Armenia-US relations: we are establishing a Strategic Partnership Commission,” said the US Secretary of State.
According to Blinken, this commission provides a framework for expanding bilateral cooperation in a number of important areas: defense and security, economy, democracy and justice, inclusiveness and people-to-people relations.
Speaking about Armenian-American economic and energy cooperation, Anthony Blinken said: “We are currently moving toward negotiations on peaceful nuclear security and nuclear energy.”
