Armenian foreign minister Ararat Mirzoyan, during a meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov in Moscow on Tuesday, said his visit to Russia is a good opportunity to discuss bilateral cooperation.
"I believe that my visit is quite appropriate in terms of the dynamics of the development of our bilateral relations. I remember that the last time we met in this format was in July 2023. I believe that this visit is a good opportunity to discuss matters of bilateral cooperation, as well as to have a thorough exchange of views on a number of current matters on the regional and international agenda. I would like to note the interest of the Republic of Armenia in continuing the effective political dialogue aimed at discussing issues affecting our bilateral relations and the overall regional situation,” Mirzoyan said.
In his words, Armenia has always remained loyal to the principle of open and constructive dialogue.
"And we hope that the Russian side will take into account all aspects of what is happening, avoiding one-sided comments, which, unfortunately, we saw recently. I hope that our meeting today will contribute to mutual understanding,” the Armenian FM said.
