There are certain restrictions in the US for those who take office, and we have expressed a wish to organize phone calls with our colleagues when they take office. This was stated by the secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, speaking with reporters Thursday.

“However, this is not only about a phone conversation, but also about working with the new administration of the US president in general. Our entire team intends to work with the team of the new US president. After the [US] presidential elections, we have sought to improve relations, but we have also taken into account the limitations of US legislation. Since they are already in office, we are working with the new administration to advance the agenda of [Armenia-US] bilateral relations, which is on good grounds. Especially after the [recent] signing of the Strategic Partnership Charter, there is an opportunity to develop and strengthen these relations,” added the head of the Armenian Security Council.
