A rally, in support of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) former state minister Ruben Vardanyan and other Armenians who are illegally detained in Azerbaijani capital Baku, is being held in front of the Armenian government building, in Yerevan.

Several photos of Vardanyan from the Baku courtroom, where he looks fatigued, were spread on the internet Wednesday. It is enough to take a look at these photos, and it will become clear that Armenian captives are being tortured in Baku.

Jared Genser, the international lawyer representing Ruben Vardanyan, issued a statement Wednesday, sounding an alarm. The lawyer appealed to all international organizations that have access to Azerbaijani prisoners to apply for permission to visit Vardanyan.

Ruben Vardanyan has been on a hunger strike for a week now—and in protest of this judicial farce taking place in Baku.
