In the past, when we made a step forward, there were always complications and provocations from the other side, sometimes a step forward - two steps back is observed, in other words, this is not a new style of Azerbaijan's work. This was stated by Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan at a briefing with journalists in the National Assembly today, March 24, commenting on the remark that despite the agreed document, Baku continues to speak the language of preconditions and how Armenia imagines the continuation of the process in this case.

The Deputy Foreign Minister also spoke about the responses, noting that 58 countries and 10 international organizations have already welcomed the process, with many noting Armenia's important role in the issue.

“We also stated that we are ready to discuss all processes related to the signing. There has been no response to this statement yet,” Paruyr Hovhannisyan said.

In response to the comment that Azerbaijan's actions and statements have recently become more aggressive, the Deputy Foreign Minister replied: “This is not a new tendency. Both last year and the year before, there were many such statements that Armenia was violating the ceasefire and taking some actions. Now, of course, we have a very important tool - the observers, who reacted both in this case and in the past. The international community realizes that false statements do not contribute to any positive process”.

As a reminder, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia stated that the text of the draft peace agreement is ready for signing. The Republic of Armenia is ready to start consultations with the Republic of Azerbaijan on the dates and place of signing the Agreement.
