Armenia is ready to fully normalize relations with Turkey even tomorrow. Deputy speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia and the latter’s special representative for the normalization of relations with Turkey, Ruben Rubinyan, stated this while speaking with reporters Monday.

According to Rubinyan, Armenia is ready to do this without preconditions.

Commenting on the results of the recent meeting with his Turkish counterpart Serdar Kilic in Antalya, Rubinyan noted that the entire spectrum of the normalization was discussed, all the agreements, some of which have been fulfilled, some have not. He added that a meeting of technical specialists related to the restoration of the Ani Bridge—on the Armenian-Turkish border—was recently held in Istanbul.

Regarding Armenia's Margara checkpoint on the Turkish border, Rubinyan noted that the Armenian side has fulfilled the agreement, and the checkpoint is ready from the Armenian side.

“We are waiting for the Turkish side, there is nothing new regarding this matter,” Rubinyan added.

The opening of the Armenian-Turkish border for citizens of third countries is one of the agreements that has not been fulfilled and it is not Armenia's fault, he noted.
