Today and for quite a long time now, the majority of our population is women, and this circumstance is also very important for us to fully utilize that potential. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this at Wednesday’s Cabinet meeting of the Armenian government.

“Of course, there are certain processes in this direction, both objectively and subjectively. It is noticeable even to the naked eye that, for example, in the education sector, girls are more active than boys. Moreover, we also have evidence of this because in Armenia, for example, in the technological sector, we have one of the world’s highest—if not the highest—rates of women's engagement. The IT system is one of the few places where it is impossible to get engaged and work there without at least some education.

On the one hand, we are happy. But on the other hand, it testifies to the deep problems existing in our country. I believe that we underestimate these problems and, in my opinion, a huge part of these problems is connected with the influence of the criminal subculture on the worldview of boys in our scene,” the Armenian PM added, in part.
