Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov began his working visit to Armenia by laying a wreath at the eternal flame at the Mother Armenia monument in Yerevan Wednesday morning.
Lavrov and members of his delegation paid tribute to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War in World War II.
Next, the Russian foreign minister is scheduled to meet with his Armenian counterpart, Ararat Mirzoyan, after which they will hold a joint press conference.
It is noteworthy that Mirzoyan is not accompanying Lavrov.
