The visit of Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico to Armenia is a very telling evidence of the active political dialogue between our countries, and I want to thank Mr. Prime Minister for the support that Slovakia has provided to Armenia in recent years. This was stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a joint press conference with visiting Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico Monday in Yerevan.

“In particular, the presence of the European Union Monitoring Mission in the Republic of Armenia, where Slovakia’s support has been significant, also in terms of Armenia’s participation in the European Peace Facility programs. Of course, now is also an active negotiation phase with the European Union on visa liberalization, and we are grateful for the support provided by Slovakia in this regard as well. Today we had the opportunity to touch upon the topic that in the spring of next year, the European Political Community summit will be held in Armenia, which is a very big event for Armenia and is one of the most important European platforms in general. I have personally addressed Prime Minister Fico on this matter as well and received support from both him and our other European partners, which I also highly appreciate.

Of course, our cooperation agendas are very comprehensive, we agreed to focus our upcoming cooperation on several directions: political dialogue, in particular, including in the context of Armenia-EU relations. There is a very large agenda for cooperation in the energy sector; in particular, in terms of cooperation in the nuclear energy sector. We also discussed the possibilities of cooperation in the military industry complex, and we see certain opportunities there as well.

I hope and am convinced that as a result of this visit, we will have concrete agendas and specific projects in all these directions,” Pashinyan announced.

Noting that Fico is accompanied by a fairly representative business delegation, the prime minister of Armenia expressed a conviction that as a result of this delegation's visit, the private sector in various economic sectors will have opportunities to discuss new projects, and these discussions, of course under high patronage, will have concrete results and expression.
