The process of delimitation of the borders is not idle. Working groups at the level of the deputy prime ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan are in contact and continue to work towards moving forward. This was stated by the secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, at a press briefing on Thursday.

Grigoryan informed that 12.7 kilometers of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border have been delimited, border troops are deployed there, and only one incident has been recorded in these border sections over the past five years.

“We are working with Azerbaijan to continue the delimitation in order to deploy border troops and establish stability in other areas as well,” added the secretary of the Security Council of Armenia.

Grigoryan informed that, according to the latest agreement, the delimitation will continue from the section “slightly below” the point of intersection of the borders of Armenia, Georgia, and Azerbaijan.
