The opening of the third "Lachin" international airport near the Armenian-Azerbaijani border by the Azerbaijanis coincided with the holding of a conference in Switzerland organized by the Armenian Apostolic Church, where the preserving of Armenian spiritual and cultural monuments in Nagorno-Karabakh were discussed. This was stated by opposition MP Artur Khachatryan during Friday’s press briefings at the National Assembly of Armenia.

All this, according to Khachatryan, indicates that Azerbaijan is preparing for a new aggression against Armenia.

"[But] the [Armenian] authorities, instead of focusing on defense, are attempting to name culprits in advance. They say that if [the Mother See of Holy] Etchmiadzin had not organized the conference, there would have been no attack [by the Azerbaijanis]," the opposition lawmaker said.
