The situation on the border with Azerbaijan is relatively stable. First Deputy Minister of Defense-Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia, Edward Asryan, told this to reporters Wednesday.

Asryan noted that there is shooting by Azerbaijan, but it is not targeted.

“In cases where the shots are targeted, we officially report about it,” added the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia.

He considered it natural that Azerbaijan denies this, noting that these are not shots.

“However, the shooter is Azerbaijan itself,” added Asryan.

According to him, these shots may be aimed at exerting psychological pressure on Armenian servicemen and the population of border settlements of Armenia.

“We do not pay attention to this, we continue our service as usual, we continue reconnaissance by all available means. There are no provocative actions by the adversary,” concluded the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia.
