The process of impeachment has been started long ago. The process will begin when one National Assembly (NA) MP nominates a candidate for prime minister. The third President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, told about this to reporters Thursday—and regarding the process to impeach incumbent PM Nikol Pashinyan.

To the remark that the signatures of at least 36 lawmakers are required to put this matter on the NA agenda, Sargsyan replied: "What does 36 have to do with it? We will bring it to the [NA] sessions’ hall when we have 54 [signatures]."

After that, the third president got into his car, and left the question on when they plan to start the street struggle unanswered.

Negotiations on this matter were held Wednesday between the opposition "Armenia" and "With Honor" Factions of the NA.

"There are six signatures under the process of expressing no confidence in the prime minister. They are the signatures of the MPs of the ‘With Honor" Faction," Hayk Mamijanyan, the head of the "With Honor" Faction, had told reporters afterward.
