Criminal police officers recently left from the central entrance of the Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) company head office in Yerevan.

They left by cars, and it was not visible whether they took anything with them.

Law enforcement officers had entered the ENA head office at around 8am, and they are conducting searches there. Masked National Security Service officers are not allowing ENA employees to enter the office.

And earlier, law enforcement officers had stormed into the house of Narek Karapetyan, the chairman of the ENA board of directors, where they were conducting a search. Narek Karapetyan is the nephew of ENA owner Samvel Karapetyan, the Russian Armenian entrepreneur and philanthropist who is remanded in custody in Yerevan.

Later, masked men had brought Narek Karapetyan to the ENA head office by car.

The Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia (RA) had told Armenian News-NEWS.am the following in this regard: “Urgent investigative actions are being carried out within the framework of criminal proceedings initiated by the RA Investigative Committee’s Main Department for Investigation of Economic Crimes and Smuggling and the Yerevan City Investigative Department. We will make an official statement in the near future.”
