A major road accident occurred in Armavir Province of Armenia Wednesday, reports shamshyan.com.

At around 2:50pm, two cars collided on the bridge of Jrarat village on the Margara-Vanadzor motorway.

As a result, seven people sustained injuries and were taken to Vagharshapat city medical center.

Later, information was received from the hospital that one of the injured had died.

A criminal case has been opened at the Vagharshapat investigative department regarding the accident, and the identities of the drivers and the injured are being ascertained.

According to shamshyan.com, the deceased and three of the six injured are servicemen of the Ministry of Defense (MoD) of Armenia.
