There will be no “corridor,” nothing will be forced, Iranian ambassador to Armenia Mehdi Sobhani told reporters in the Armenian parliament on Tuesday.

Sobhani added that there is nothing that can be called a “corridor,” and explained that it is a road.

“There is no mention of a ‘corridor’ in the text of the peace agreement [between Armenia and Azerbaijan], as well as in the signed declaration [with the participation of the US],” Sobhani noted.

The Iranian diplomat said that he came to the parliament of Armenia to discuss interparliamentary cooperation. The ambassador stated that the deputy foreign minister of Iran, who had visited Armenia earlier, is engaged in interparliamentary cooperation. Mehdi Sobhani added that the two parties plan to set up a joint consular committee.
