The use of the term "Zangezur corridor" is not a territorial claim against Armenia. Fatma Aksal, a member of the Turkish parliament, told this to reporters Monday, on the margins of the 108th Rose-Roth Seminar of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, which is being held in Armenia’s capital Yerevan—and when asked whether the use of the term "Zangezur corridor" by Azerbaijan and Turkey, instead of the term "Trump Route," implies a territorial claim against Armenia because a “corridor” has a different logic.

It is not a territorial claim. No one has lost from peace and no one has gained from war yet. The ties between the governments, the dialogues, the ties between the ministries are very important. There is a need to wait and be optimistic, Aksal said, and added that she is optimistic in this regard.

As for the details, Aksal said she cannot mention many details because they do not know the details. But in general, there is a need to wait and be optimistic in order to establish peace between the countries, said the Turkish MP.

Addressing the matter, Aksal noted that peace is important, but there are Armenian prisoners of war in Azerbaijan. And what Turkey is ready to do regarding this matter, the Turkish parliament member said that she does not know the details, but Turkey is ready to do everything to establish peace.
