Fundamental changes are expected soon, and for now, we can note with satisfaction that Armenia is gradually overcoming the blockade, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said today, October 23, during a government session.

“For the past two days, there has been discussion about Azerbaijan’s announcement to lift export restrictions to Armenia. I expressed my assessment of this decision by the Azerbaijani president during the ‘Silk Road’ conference in Tbilisi and welcomed it. I want to do the same here, because this is a very important decision, and it shows that the Washington declaration and the agreements reached are not merely statements; they have produced concrete results.

When a gunshot is heard in any of our villages, the next day the issue is intensely discussed across social media. But when no gunshot is heard for a long time, naturally, no one discusses it daily. Yet we receive this information every day. We need to take these parameters into account, weigh them, so that we can also see the dynamics—where we are heading, whether we are moving forward or not,” he said.

Pashinyan also noted that some people spend all day claiming that Armenia is collapsing. “These people simply do not know Armenia. Armenia has institutions, organizations, and a political philosophy that exist within the framework of Armenia’s collapse. That is, their way of relating, their way of operating, the object of their activity is a collapsing Armenia. If Armenia is not collapsing, there is no field for their activity; therefore, to maintain at least some field for activity, they need to justify that Armenia is collapsing. But even this is no longer working, and yesterday’s empty parliamentary hall of the opposition proves this,” Pashinyan added.
