In Armenia, a contract serviceperson who passes certification can receive additional salary ranging from 205,000 to 470,000 drams. This was announced by Defense Minister Suren Papikyan during Thursday’s National Assembly session debates on the 2026 state budget draft.

According to him, this is a significant improvement that has positively affected the social conditions of Armenia’s servicepersons.

“Currently, 65 percent of the servicepersons who participated in the process initiated by us have already undergone certification,” Papikyan added.
