The state institution in Armenia with the highest level of trust is the army. Aram Navasardyan, Director of Director of MPG LLC which is a full member of Gallup International Association in Armenia, stated during a press conference Friday, and emphasizing that the relevant question was phrased as follows: “To what extent do you approve of the following political figures, institutions?”

“63.4% said they fully approve, and 18.4% said they rather approve. In total, 81.8% evaluated the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia positively.

Armenian Apostolic Church: 63.3% said they fully approve and 14.4% said they rather approve, and there is a very nice alignment — 77.7% evaluated the activities of the Armenian Apostolic Church positively.

Also, we have a high indicator in the case of Samvel Karapetyan, head of the Tashir Group of companies and businessman philanthropist: in total, about 54% gave a positive evaluation; looking more closely, 31.6% evaluated him as fully positive, and 22.3% said they rather approve.

And Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan also recorded an approval rating of over 50%. 27.2% fully approve of his activities, and 23.3% rather approve,” Navasardyan said, in particular.

The next question concerned Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s participation in the Divine Liturgies of the Armenian Apostolic Church. “Over the past two months, Nikol Pashinyan has attended more than three liturgies conducted by priests who have been defrocked by the Armenian Apostolic Church. In response to the question ‘How do you evaluate this phenomenon?’, 23.4% noted they evaluate it fully positively, 13.7% noted they evaluate it rather positively, 11.1% noted they evaluate that phenomenon rather negatively, 39.3% noted they evaluate it fully negatively, and 12.6% found it difficult to answer.

Here we see that more than 50% evaluate this phenomenon negatively. Apparently, the 12.6% who found it difficult to answer, I believe can also be considered more inclined toward a negative attitude rather than a positive attitude,” Aram Navasardyan said.

The respective telephone survey was conducted with 1001 respondents, with a sampling error of 3%. The survey was conducted from November 27 to December 5 in Armenia.
