Since mid-December 2025, Azerbaijan-made gasoline started to be imported to Armenia, and it was interesting to know what has happened in the Armenia’s gasoline market since that import, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated on a Facebook live stream Tuesday.

“Premium gasoline is mainly imported from Azerbaijan. And as of today, the minimum price of premium gasoline that can be purchased on the market in the Republic of Armenia [(RA)] has decreased by 15 percent, from 510 drams to 430 drams per liter. Two days ago, diesel fuel was also imported to Armenia from Azerbaijan. The price of diesel fuel has decreased by 2 percent during this period, and the price of regular gasoline has decreased by 8 percent compared to December. If on December 11 the minimum price of regular gasoline was 500 drams [per liter], now it is 460 drams. All these are the results of the peace agenda, as it is customary to say, the benefits of peace.

Of course, it should also be admitted that during this time there is criticism in both Azerbaijan and Armenia. In Armenia they say, ‘You buy gasoline and send the money to Azerbaijan so that they attack Armenia with that money.’ In Azerbaijan they say, ‘You send gasoline and diesel fuel to Armenia so that they refuel their tanks and military equipment and attack Azerbaijan.’

It should be noted that both concerns are not pertinent, because peace has been established between Azerbaijan and Armenia, that peace will gradually become more institutional; these concerns simply have no place. It should also be noted that such thoughts are incited and encouraged, at least in Armenia, by those companies and circles that, with the support of their foreign partners, have had a monopoly on the gasoline market [of Armenia] for many years, and they will now be forced to lower prices, which will harm those monopolies, which will in fact disappear and benefit RA citizens,” added the Armenian premier.

In conclusion, Pashinyan noted that this is peace and we must learn that peace. “This is peace, and we must learn to live in peace, and also learn to relate to the benefits of peace, which I note with joy,” the Armenian PM said.
