The US and Armenia will continue to work towards the implementation of their agreement, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio told reporters, alongside Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, in Washington.
According to the US Secretary of State, on the one hand, this agreement creates enormous opportunities, as it ultimately opens up Armenia for business, gives it the opportunity to develop economically, and ensures respect for its sovereignty.
In addition, as Rubio noted, the agreement further strengthens Armenia-US relations, which continue to strengthen thanks to such agreements. This will ultimately become a model of how to open up for economic activity and prosperity without in any way questioning or undermining sovereignty and territorial integrity.
They believe that this will be great for Armenia, the United States, and all parties, the US Secretary of State added. Earlier, the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) reported that Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan will be on a working visit to the US on Tuesday and Wednesday.
According to the Armenian MFA, during the visit, a meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and the adoption of a joint statement on the framework for the implementation of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project are planned.
