Armenian News-NEWS.am has learned new details about the Armenian woman who died in the tragic train accident in Spain on January 18.
According to our information, Elen Baghdasaryan, 18, had traveled from Moscow to Malaga to visit her student brother.
She was unaccompanied on the train.
After the incident, her parents traveled from Russia to Spain to transport their daughter's body back to Russia.
A requiem service was held Sunday in the Armenian church of Malaga , which was attended by a large number of Armenians.
The aforesaid accident, which claimed the lives of more than 40 people, occurred on the evening of January 18 near the town of Adamas. The train, which was heading to Madrid, derailed and ended up on adjacent tracks, where it collided with an oncoming train, which also derailed.
