It is not about the return of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) residents, but about specifying the right to return, Armenia’s second president, Robert Kocharyan, told a press conference Thursday.
“There is only one way here: active diplomatic work. This is the topic that is difficult for the international community to reject. I cannot imagine any European country saying, ‘We do not believe that you should pursue this right.’ It is impossible to say such a thing! At the moment, the realistic [thing] is this: let's try to find the solution to that problem through diplomatic means. I see that it is possible. It is difficult even for Azerbaijan to say, ‘No, we cannot discuss return.’ They will attempt to link it with the return of Azerbaijanis [to Armenia],” added Armenia’s second president.
