The Christian Solidarity International (CSI) and the Armenian Center for Political Rights (ACPR) presented the results of a fact-finding mission to Armenia in November, participating in the inaugural Republic of Armenia Prayer Breakfast.

Also the delegation members met with representatives of civil society, detainees in Armenia, and their lawyers.

Also, their report was published in November, which concerns the persecution of members of the Armenian Apostolic Church by the Armenian authorities, as well as pressure on opposition and civil figures.

The CSI representatives are on a new visit to Armenia to continue their mission. CSI President John Eibner, opening Tuesday’s press conference in Yerevan, noted that the purpose of their current visit is to determine the current crisis in relations between the Armenian authorities and the Armenian Apostolic Church.

Also, a meeting was held with Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II, and he is determined to protect his flock and fulfill his duties, Eibner added.

Also today, members of the CSI delegation met with detained Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan. He is positive and is convinced that truth and justice will prevail. He handed two letters: one to the International Religious Freedom Summit in Washington, and the second is addressed to US Vice President JD Vance, who will soon visit Armenia and Azerbaijan, the CSI president said.
