“I am very pleased that we will be selling new drone technology to Armenia,” U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance said today, February 9, during a joint statement in Yerevan with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

“President Trump understands very well that the best way to ensure peace is for the world’s best military technologies—those possessed by the United States—to be disseminated and deployed.

We have now approved the sale of $11 million worth of reconnaissance drone technologies to Armenia and to our good friend, the Prime Minister. We are confident that the peace that is to be built will endure and be sustainable, which means the creation of future additional jobs and further investments,” the U.S. Vice President emphasized.

He stressed that what is happening here today is of historic significance: “I am truly proud to be the first Vice President of the United States ever to visit this country, and I am looking forward to tomorrow, when I will spend some more time in your country. This is one of the world’s oldest Christian nations and states. I am personally a Christian, and I know what this country means for the entire world and for the faith that we both share.

Mr. Prime Minister, thank you very much for your cooperation. Both President Trump and I are deeply committed to strengthening this partnership,” Vance concluded.
