The speaker of the Armenian National Assembly (NA) congratulated on the "historic agreements and the opportunities that are opening up" thanks to US Vice President JD Vance's visit to Yerevan.

Speaking with reporters on Tuesday, Alen Simonyan emphasized the increase in the overall level of security, which, in the context of the ongoing peace agenda, is not calculated for just one or two years, but for decades—if not, hundreds of years.

Answering the question of whether Vance had promised investments in Armenia, the NA speaker urged to rely on information and statements from state media on all important matters, be it security, large investments, or geopolitical processes. The rest are fairy tales, Simonyan added.

To note, this matter is related to the incomprehensible situation surrounding Vance's statement Monday on cooperation between Armenia and the US in the nuclear energy sector. The Armenian translation of his respective remarks contained the word "investments," while the version posted on the US State Department's website does not contain that word.
