We discussed with US Vice President JD Vance the United States-Armenia bilateral agenda, how we can develop our bilateral agenda. We focused on this topic. Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, told this to reporters Friday, in response to Armenian News-NEWS.am’s question as whether the developments around Iran were discussed during the US Vice President’s recent visit to Yerevan.

Grigoryan added that US President Donald Trump’s announcement that US tariffs will be raised against countries that trade with Iran was not discussed either.

And regarding Armenia-Turkey relations and the possible timeframes of the border opening, the Armenian Security Council chief said: “I cannot say anything about the timeframe. We expect to implement the agreements we had with Turkey, and we continue to discuss with the Turkish side in order to make these agreements a reality as soon as possible.”
